Dr. Dearing's Story

Early in life, I developed a passion for traditional medicines and wellness concepts. As a boy, I suffered multiple neck injuries and concussions while playing sports, which brought neck problems and chronic sinus congestion. After a few chiropractic adjustments, I was able to avoid a surgery, which increased my interest in manual therapies.

During undergraduate school at the University of Tennessee, I realized that a Doctorate in Chiropractic provided the best multi-disciplinary education. Chiropractic allows us to treat the human body in movement, function, and physiology.

A Doctorate in Chiropractic allows me to apply the vast majority of manual therapy techniques. I wanted more tools to help patients achieve better function. I knew that adjusting the spine in a general fashion was great for spinal pain, as a standalone therapy. Since finishing clinical residency in 2009, I’ve earned a Fellowship in Medical Acupuncture and a postgraduate Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board.
